Ventilation

In recent years our homes have been built to be highly efficient, so efficient that they don’t allow outside fresh air to properly flow in and out of our homes. This can often result in poor ventilation. According to the EPA “Ventilation helps remove or dilute indoor airborne pollutants coming from indoor sources. This reduces the level of contaminants and improves indoor air quality (IAQ)”. With poor ventilation, your home can also risk having high levels of carbon dioxide which can indicate a problem with the air circulation in your home. Your home may have symptoms of poor ventilation, these can include odors, mold or mildew growing in the bathrooms or kitchen, people feeling groggy, irritated or suffering from headaches and or allergy -like symptoms when in the home.
